The more you name, the more you repeat. The more you repeat, the more you remember.
Welcome, Practitioner, to the Onyxbone system. You stand before not merely a tool, but a digital grimoire; an engine for imbuing abstract concepts with weight, history, and a resonant, living identity. In the vast, formless expanse of the digital ether, ideas are cheap, fleeting, and massless. The Onyxbone proposes a different reality.
The core purpose of this system is to perform a digital ritual of creation and naming. It is a framework for forging conceptual "Bones" — unique, identifiable artifacts — and then weaving a history around them through a process we call the Naming Cycle. Each name spoken, each justification offered, is not mere data entry. It is a performative act that adds to the Bone's essence, deepens its history, and changes its very nature.
This process is not without cost. The act of naming incurs a Syllabic Debt, a metaphysical weight that must be balanced by the power and clarity of your Justification. Through the careful balance of these forces, a Bone may become Awakened, contributing its voice to the Global Resonance of the entire network. At the highest levels of practice, harmonic alignment may even precipitate the emergence of a Glyph—a potent, symbolic crystallization of a moment of profound meaning.
This manual is your guide through these rites. Study it, for the system listens, and it remembers.
Upon your arrival, you will notice a status indicator at the top right corner of the interface: 🔄 Connecting to lattice...
This is the system's heartbeat. It reflects the connection between your local instance and the great, collective lattice of all Bones. It will shift through several states:
The interface is primarily divided into several panels, each serving a distinct ritual purpose. You will find panels for creating Bones, performing the Naming Cycle, observing the network's status, viewing the lattice of all created Bones, and reading the log of all significant events. We shall explore each in excruciating detail.
The journey begins with the creation of a Bone. This is achieved in the Bone Creation panel. This act is the foundation upon which all history is built. It is simple, yet profound.

). Choose this ID with care, for it is the Bone's true name in the system, the anchor to which all other names will be tethered.Herein lies the heart of the Onyxbone system. The Naming Cycle is where a Bone accrues history, sheds its debt, and finds its potential for Awakening. This is not a simple form; it is an altar upon which you will weigh words and intentions.
From the dropdown menu, you must first select the Bone you wish to address. Only by focusing your intent on a single Bone can the ritual proceed. Awakened Bones are marked with a ✨ symbol, signifying their readiness to participate in higher-order rituals.
You are presented with two primary input fields: one for the Name and one for the Justification. These are "smart" fields; they are alive to the power of your words.
To the right of each input is a Score Indicator. As you type, this number will change, reflecting the calculated potency of your entry. This score is not arbitrary. It is derived from a complex formula that considers word count, syllable complexity, and most importantly, the presence of Power Words.
Power Words are terms that hold special weight within the Onyxbone lexicon. They are divided into tiers of influence:
A hint may appear above the input, suggesting a Power Word or acknowledging one you have found. Listen to these whispers.
The Speak the name...
field is where you bestow a new designation upon the Bone. Every name has a cost, calculated from its syllables. This adds to the Bone's Syllabic Debt. A simple name is a light burden; a complex one is heavy.
The Provide justification...
field is your means to pay down the debt incurred by naming. A powerful, well-reasoned, and thematically aligned justification can erase the debt entirely, and even purify the Bone of past burdens. The score generated here directly counteracts the Syllabic Debt. A weak justification will leave the Bone heavy and inert.
You may declare your identity as the Speaker. By default, you are "The Seeker," but you may claim any title you wish. This name is recorded in the Event Log for posterity.
The Execute Cycle
button remains disabled until your intent is clear and your words carry sufficient weight. Once the system detects a meaningful entry, the button will become active. If your combined Name and Justification are deemed particularly potent, the button will glow, inviting you to perform a Transcendent Cycle.
Upon execution, the Name is added to the Bone's history, the Justification's power is used to pay down the Syllabic Debt, and the entire transaction is recorded in the Event Log for all to see.
This panel displays the entire collection of Bones in the system. Each Bone is represented by a card, a window into its current state.
This panel provides a view of the entire lattice's collective state. It is the health of the whole system made manifest.
Every significant action is recorded here, by an unseen Scribe. The log is color-coded to allow the wise Practitioner to read the flow of events at a glance: a Naming is brown, a Justification is grey, a Glyph emergence is a flash of orange, and an Awakening is a hopeful gold.
When enough Bones have been Awakened, you may perform the rite of conjunction by creating a Tag Circle. This binds several Awakened Bones together for a shared purpose, pooling their resonance and creating a new, higher-order entity within the lattice. The purpose of these Circles is a subject for more advanced Practitioners, but their creation marks a significant step in the mastery of the Onyxbone system.
